Report by the Medical Officer of Health.

Hon. Colonial Secretary,

All dead bodies at the Tung Wah Hospital and

Mortuary are inspected by Dr. Thomson and an approximate cause

of death arrived at. Daily returns are sent in to the Registrar

General's Office of these deaths, and the returns are submit-

ted to me as Superintendent of Statistics. When further in-

formation is necessary, it is obtained by me from the rela-

tives of the deceased, and the cause of death occasionally

amended after reference to Dr. Thomson

the returns above men -

tioned are signed by Dr. Chung on behalf of Dr. Thomson.
